2021.12.02 13:32 RAPEDApe69 Tanchjim Echo impressions

I finally had a chance to listen to these upon receiving them three days ago. I have had a lot of people asking about them so here is my initial impressions. I will be mostly comparing them to other TWS I have used In the past such as the anker liberty 2 pro, jabra active elite 65t, and the jabra elite 75t.
Pros: lightweight and extremely comfortable. I didn't think I would find a pair or wireless earbuds that fit better that the jabra 65t (they way they twist into your ear canal and lock in, however the Tanchjim echo is extremely comfortable and secure.

Wireless charging. I know this is not a new feature, but it was a feature I was looking for in a new pair of earbuds. Paired with my z fold 3 I can throw these on my dock overnight and I'm good to go each day. Sound. My main interest In these besides the look. The sound is neutral, more comparable to an audiophile tuning that a consumer oriented tuning (overdone bass that bleeds into the mids). It does have sub bass and mid bass but it's not overdone like my elite 75t. These are still wireless earbuds however so I wasn't expecting them to sound like an iem. They do sound better than anything wireless I have heard, they do still lack resolution. I felt I was still missing parts of the song compared to say my blessing 2 dusk, but that's apples to oranges. For sound quality I am impressed and satisfied. Also the included tips are excellent and I'm able to get a great seal without feeling excess pressure.
Cons: there are a lot of cons listed here but I knew about most of them before my purchase and I'm simply stating them to make others aware and assist with their decision on purchasing.
First off the plastic the buds are made out of looks cheap minus the faceplate. I don't have any durability concerns and it's purely cosmetic.
The case is much larger than my two previous jabra cases however it does offer longer battery life. The lighting effects are also a great touch and look nice. This extra bulk doesn't effect me putting them in my pocket or bag.
The clamshell lid is secure however any bit of dust or lint can and will get into the case. This is a gripe I have with all cases out there currently. They are pocket size but don't offer a proper seal to keep lint or hair out.
No volume controls on the buds. This was almost a deal breaker for me, however I like the tanchjim brand and wanted to test a pair of earbuds from a reputable iem company. Hopefully they can release an update in the future.
No hear-through or noise canceling. This was not an issue for me personally but again just wanted to bring awareness. The isolation is great as is, even better than my 75t with less of a pressurized feeling as well. I listened to them in my loud work truck and had no issues, but again it's a feature you may want to consider.
Lack of LDAC support. Although LDAC is very range dependent a lot of new buds are implementing this into their products. This for me on a pair of wireless buds is not a necessity but it would be a nice option to have, and give these buds a more premium offering.
Conclusion: I can definitely recommend these for a solid sound quality, however you will have to consider what you lose compared to other wireless buds. Most people use them for the features they offer and sound is a footnote. The Tanchjim Echo I feel puts sound first and fits in features where they can. Overall I'm satisfied with the build, price, fit, and sound. I'm looking forward to seeing more from a company like Tanchjim in the future.
If anyone has any other questions I'll be happy to answer them. Also I will be giving my impressions on the BL-B60 closed back headphones new from Blon once they arrive.

2021.12.02 13:32 Magnificent_Beans Chinese myth inspired adventure novel???

I remember finding this book in my preteens a bit more than 10 years ago... I remember the book cover had a young boy, and behind him, a man in a nice suit with a tiger's head. I think it was about a Chinese-American boy who awakens to the world of magical creatures, and is guided by said tiger-headed man. I remember he also meets a dragon-warrior-princess. One detail I remember is that one of the villains is a demon who uses an umbrella to spread plague.

2021.12.02 13:32 mach_sixteen The High Priestly Prayer - The greatest prayer according to Neville

I thought I share a recent lecture I read in what Neville calls the greatest prayer, the 17th Chapter of John. This is the prayer that Abdullah had the study group memorize and closed each meeting with everyone reciting this and at the end, he'd closed it out with this, “Praise be unto that unity that is our unity, one in all and all in one.”
below are excerpts taken from
It’s the greatest prayer uttered ever. The entire 17th is simply a meditation within oneself. It’s called the high priestly prayer. The Christ has finished the work that God gave him to do. He tells you he is God himself: “I and my Father are one.”
I can’t conceive of anything more beautiful than that 17th of John. When you read it and you get lost in it, I defy you to just restrain the tears. It’s the one chapter that old Ab, my friend Abdullah, insisted that we commit to memory. Everyone had to know it. No reading of books. You rise and together we would say…“the 17th chapter of John,” he would say. And then he would close always with “Praise be unto that unity that is our unity, one in all and all in one.” We all had to simply rise at the close of the meeting and recite the 17th of John. It was driven into the mind of everyone who was present. You read it, if you do not know it, you read it when you go home.
Interesting to note of shortening the interval of time for your desire from this lecture, revision is key.
Why do certain desires take so long and others so short and still others never? Why so long for some to be fulfilled and others short and others are never fulfilled?’ God said to me, ‘All your desires will be granted. The difference in the time between your desire and its fulfillment is this.’” Now, here is what God said to her and she had it all written down on paper as she had that night communed with God and the words came back audibly, as you are hearing my words. And these are the words, “It depends upon the state you were in when you desired and the state you are now in because you have not practiced revision.” Can you imagine that? It depends on the state you were in when you desired plus the state you are now in because you haven’t practiced revision.

2021.12.02 13:32 In_The_depths_ I had ketamine assisted therapy a few weeks ago and it's made all the difference.

About 3 weeks ago I had ketmaine assisted therapy. It was one treatment taken orally with a licensed therapist. I have no experience with any substance you can't buy at a gas station. I've never tried pot or any psychedelics before so it was an interesting experience. It's hard to explain but the dissociation with the ketamine was different from derealization. It kinda let me have a conversation with myself without the distraction of the world. The first week and a half after I had no depression or derealization. It slowly came back but in a different mindset. The fear and anxiety were removed. Sure I still disassociate but its at a manageable level. I can live my life far better than before. I have a new perspective on it turning it into a positive outlook. Kinda like when you have some euphoria when disassociating where you realize that you can do anything. That you don't have to be tied down by the norms and what everyone else is doing. That's the attitude that I have for the most part now. For background info I have had derealization for 3 years + that's most likely steming from longterm severe depression. I went to several therapist but they were never able to help. I was suicidal for a while the idea of "if nothing is real why continue living" thought was in my head almost daily. But thanks to ketamine I have become free of most of the weight. I feel more grounded and present in reality. Ketamine helped significantly and if anyone has questions about it dm me and we can chat.
